As Event Programming Manager, I spearheaded the rapid development of The Bee Conservancy's programming (post-Pandemic) increasing their event offerings from zero to 26 in the first year.

Tasked with the mission to invigorate TBC’s event programming

  • It started by learning the intricacies of this non-profits mission, voice & event needs.

  • I built out playbooks and systems to share progress with the team.

  • After lots of 'saying yes' to many events, we refined our process in year two both internally & externally. This allowed for much more team efficiency and better reach to our public audience & partners.

I started a 2 year journey that involved not only planning strategic and recurring events, but also designing internal systems, playbooks and protocols for the the non-profit to better manage its ongoing programming efforts using project management tools and automation.

My work involved strategic positioning, copywriting, promotion design & management, comprehensive partner communication and metric tracking to ensure smooth execution and maximum impact for this small, but mighty org.

With the groundwork laid, the next phase was all about execution. I managed the organization’s event calendar and designed event content ensuring that all events were scheduled efficiently with proper hosts, staff and supplies -  plus logistical details galore for the public such as directions and times for the ferry, weather & farm notices, and best attire to comfortably participate.

By designing a comprehensive Event Metrics Dashboard to track KPIs (key performance indicators) for every event, TBC was able to see measurable results of event reach - as well as stats and trends on specific demographics for their audience, such as Youth Focused Education vs Volunteer Turn Out numbers.
